The Redbird Story
The Phoenix Group was incorporated, 1991, in the state of Indiana and is composed of a consortium of companies and services in the supply chain industry. Redbird Medical was incorporated in 2012 to capitalize on the core competencies that The Phoenix Group provides to its current customers, and deliver the same expertise to the life science and health care industry.
Gary Sherman is President of Redbird Medical, LLC and its affiliate company The Phoenix Group.
Gary has spent his entire professional career helping to build The Phoenix Group into one of the most respected logistics companies in the area. Under his guidance The Phoenix Group has grown from a local provider to become a national and international provider of supply chain services.
Gary brings his vast array of skills, including sales, manufacturing, logistics, and quality management, to the Redbird team. He received a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ken is responsible for refining Redbird’s strategy, developing its operating and sales plans, and guiding the team to execute on its key business objectives. Over the last 15 years, Ken has delivered a proven track record of successfully managing change and growth in the healthcare industry.
Most recently Ken was the COO of WoundVision, a start-up medical technology company, that used predictive modeling, and risk assessment software supported by thermal imaging for early wound detection. Prior to his time with WoundVision, Ken was the Executive Vice President of Operations for EHOB, Inc., a medical products company that manufactures and distributes pressure relief devices for the acute, long-term, and homecare markets. Under Ken’s direction EHOB became one of the most respected small companies in Indiana. In 2009 EHOB was recognized as one of the top 25 Best Small Companies to work for in Indianapolis, and as one of the top 50 businesses to watch in Indiana.

Director, Quality and Regulatory
Martin Weinstein has worked in the field of medical device manufacturing for over 30 years. During that time he has managed and directed activities in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Manufacturing Operations. His broad experience has enabled him to design fully compliant quality systems that were optimized for the business model and environment of each specific organization. Marty has been highly effective at integrating 21 CFR Part 11 Product Life Cycle Management software within quality systems.
Marty has a proven track record in all aspects of quality assurance including design controls, process validation, sterilization validation (ETO and gamma), configuration management, internal auditing, supplier qualification, development of quality control plans, complaint handling, MDR analysis and reporting, failure investigations, corrective action planning and implementation.
Martin Weinstein has his B.S. in Industrial Technology. He is a member of ASQ, RAPS and ISPE. He is a past president of the Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council.
